Noricho’s map of the network is assembled from open data. Every source it draws on is listed here with its licence, the same way the app lists them under Settings → Data sources.
Noricho is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any railway operator. Line colours and symbols appear as original roundels drawn for Noricho; no operator logos, official stamp artwork or station melodies are used.

Realtime train information, used only to work out which train class you rode. Requested for the Tokyo Metro and Toei lines only, through a server-side proxy that asks about a railway line and sends no rider data.

What is not used
No OpenStreetMap data is bundled with Noricho. OSM is ODbL-licensed and its share-alike terms do not fit a bundled proprietary dataset, so it is excluded deliberately rather than by omission.
ODPT datasets for operators outside the list above — JR East, Tokyu, Odakyu, Keio, Seibu, Tobu, Keikyu and Sotetsu — are made available under Challenge-only terms and are not used. Those operators appear in Noricho because their lines and stations come from the sources above, not from ODPT.
Accuracy
Station and line data may be incomplete or out of date, and accuracy is not guaranteed by the providers or by Noricho. Timetables, fares and live service status are not included at all.
Please send questions about this app to support@noricho.com — not to the railway operators or to the data providers. If a line, station or piece of numbering is wrong, reporting it from inside the app tells the developer exactly which record you were looking at.
